FORGE VALLEY COMMUNITY SCHOOL

WE NEED YOU!
Forge Valley Community School is unique in Sheffield as being a parent led school
and indeed is one of only a small group of schools in the country which is parent-
We believe that parents have a vital role to play, not only in their own child's achievements, but also in the life of the school and the wellbeing of its pupils.
We want all parents/carers who have children at the school to become part of the life at the school and we aim to achieve that by setting up a Parent Council.
If your son or daughter is a pupil at Forge Valley Community School then you as the parent or primary carer of your child automatically become a member of the Parent Council. How big or small a role you undertake within the Parent Council is up to you but we hope that you will work with us and see the benefits for all involved.
If you would like to become involved in helping us set up a new group run by parents
for parents then please come along to our next meeting on Wednesday 5 May 2010 at
6.30pm -
So that we have an idea of likely numbers at the meeting, would you please send an email to enquiries@forgevalley.sheffield.sch.uk indicating if you will be able to come to the meeting or wish to become involved at a future date in this exciting opportunity.
Why should I get involved?

We believe that the Parent Council can have a huge contribution to the life of the
school. With the help of parents, a whole new range of possibilities can develop,
such as:
